Did the government make it easier to get approved for credit for the people of the states that were struck by huricane katrina? Such as lousiana or alabama?

Does paying off a deferred student loan early improve your credit score?

I am less than 9 thousand dollars in debt of student loans. I am thinking of getting more student loans with less interest to pay off my current student loans with higher interest. All these loans are through FASFA Government loans ( FASFA now has lowered their percentage of interest since my first loan through them) . They are deferred loans which don’t need to be paid off until after I graduate. I was wondering if i do get other loans to pay off my existing loans, will it improve my credit at the same time?

Is this the reason why when you go in a store there’s always a new owner? They’ll never have to pay taxes if they just pass the business to the next family member. I can’t get the government to loan me three million dollars because my credit score isn’t good enough and they’re giving away free money, please explain to me what’s really going on…

Credit card debt relief – federal bailout money available? Or are the adds just deceptive?

Can I get government money to help reduce my debt without affecting my credit score, or reducing the amount of credit that credit card companies will extend to me? The banks got a bailout, I want one too, am I missing out, or, are all these "debt relief" commercials mentioning "bailout" just BS? (Do they only help you with "settlements" with the CC companies, which I am not interested in?)
Even if I got "something for nothing" and got a personal "bail out" – if the government gave me money to pay off my credit card just to "help the economy" that still wouldn’t make me 1% as greedy as the banks and insurance companies (and the Wall Street devils) that have got us in this economic mess. There was tons of free money being given out by the government, I guess just not for anybody who really needs it [only those that already have too much got any].
I’m not asking this because of financial problems – I’m asking because I don’t want to miss out on "free money" if it’s being given out, I want in. I’d love to go rack up an extra ,000 in credit card debt to have it paid off with federal bailout money But that doesn’t seem to be available… Too bad
Well, I’ve stated from the beginning that I’m not interested in lowering my credit score. I want to know how to reduce my debt without negatively impacting my credit which currently is very good.

Who doesn’t want free money? The gave away (literally) tons of free money during the Iraq "war". They even LOST a whole pallet of cash. Rich bankers got bailed out, auto companies got bailed out. I want to be bailed out then I can start my own business (And repair the damage the S.W.A.T. team did to my rental property because the teenage son of the tenant’s let the local crack dealer in to play some video games).

How credit score affect your employment at Federal Goverment (Canada)?

I recently received a pending offer at federal government (Canada) saying that they anticipate an job offer to be sent to me in 3 weeks. However they said they are still preparing the paperwork for me. I am assuming that they are checking my criminal records as well as my credit history (as I signed the agreement). My identity was stolen and it is just recovered recently, however the score is only in the fair range around 630. I am thinking are they going to check my credit report (without score) or they will look at my score as well? In addition, I only have one account that has R4 ranking because I missed payment of for 4 months because I moved. All the others are R1. Should I explain this to employer? What do you suggest me to do? Just wait?

Help with credit score because of student loan?

I am currently in school. I have taken out only the amount needed in federal student loan money (after scholarships). To make a long story short, my student loans are not in repayment at this time. When I first began school, my student loans were owned by a student loan company. Around the 2009/2010 school year, student loans from that year were transferred to the government.

The problem is that with the student loan being transferred to the government, that lowered my credit score tremendously. My credit is fair because of that. Everything else on my credit score has positive marks. This loan has not entered repayment, and them transferring from a student loan company to the federal government was not my fault. This student loan is not is default nor is it delinquent.

What should I do? Who should I contact? The bank who disbursed the student loan or the credit score agent?
The credit report is from Citi Identity Monitor. On the report where it said that the loan was transferred, it has -111… All of the other accounts, which are student loans that haven’t been transferred doesn’t have a -111.. mark, but a 111… mark. I don’t know, maybe the problem is that Citi Identity Monitor isn’t reliable. With the accounts that were not transferred, they say that the account is in good standing.
I took a closer look at the report and did some research and noticed that each substidized and unsubstidized loan qualifies as an individual loan. After looking at credit analyzer on the website, I noticed that each loan that you take out takes a huge chunk out of your credit score. I see what you guys are saying.

How can I pay for college when FAFSA and my parents won't help?

I was recently married, but had to file my FAFSA with the income of my parents. Unfortunately for me, they make a decent amount of money so I only got the Stafford Loan from the government. I need to get another 00 to pay for this semester of school but am not eligible to sign most loans by myself because my gross income is not enough. I have a good credit score, but without enough money history, I still can’t get the loan. I’ve asked my parents to cosign, but because I just got married they will not sign on anything for me. What can I do to get the money I need?
