I have NO credit. I can’t seem to get a credit card, even when I had two jobs I couldn’t even get a SECURED credit card. Getting a co-signer is out of the question. I was thinking of paying back my student loan early with the hopes that it would give me a credit score of some sort. Does anyone have any experience with this?
By paying it off early I do not mean in full. I mean starting the repayment plan early.

STUDENT running lowwwwww on money. What to do!?! Line of credit?

June 20th, 2011 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in Free Government Credit Score

I’m currently on my 3rd of 4 years of university. My program of choice, nursing, has drained my finances [I have only one day a week to work at minimum wage and not enough money to cover my rent and bills]
- I have a student loan through gov of canada.
- I also have a Student line of credit which is maxed out from first year when I didn’t have my government student loan.

I think my credit score is fine:
I have a credit card which is paid on time
my student loan hasn’t needed payment yet
my line of credit as well.

Do you think I would be eligible for another line of credit through another bank? (with a co-signer)
