I’m looking to go back to college, I graduated back in 2003. I’m a single mom and I work one full time job. I’ve been searching for grants that can help me further my education and I’ve applied for the pell grant and another one. But that leaves me about 5,000 short for school. I don’t want to have to apply for a loan because I know they check credit and that takes off points on my credit score. Does anyone know of any charities, business, government grants or scholarships that award or give money for college? I don’t know if it helps but my major is digital movie production.

Im 20 and have one credit card. How do I build good credit and increase my credit Limit?*Please Help*?

May 3rd, 2011 by admin | 5 Comments | Filed in Free Government Credit Score

I got a creidt card through my bank a yr ago and I dont really use it that much. My credit limit started @ 0 now it’s 0 and I really want that to go up and I dont know how. I am going trough college at a University right now and I am trying to get through without any loans, so far so good. Problem is that my tuition bill in a month is about 00 more than I can afford. I think its to late to get a loan and I dont think those government ones build credit anyway. I REALLY want to get good credit now while I have few expenses and an okay income, I just dont know how. Im thinking that I should get a NEW credit card with a 00+ limit and hopefully no interest for the first year. BUT HOW do I make sure the credit card I apply for wiill give me such a high limit? If I apply for one and they offer me a low credit limit can I turn it down with no credit score penalties. If I get too many cards will my credit go down? There are sooo many offers out there, What should I do?! *PLEASE HELP
BTW, I do have a full time job and know for sure that I will be able to pay back the 00 within four months! SO I will be making much more than the minimum payment each month! I will have it paid off by the 4th statement! Is American Express one of the best to get or capital one? soo many choices!
